Customs Certificate

Citizens of the Republic of Serbia who have spent between 2 and 10 consecutive years working abroad are exempt from paying import duties on household items with a value of up to EUR 20,000.

Citizens of the Republic of Serbia who have spent 10 or more consecutive years working abroad are exempt from paying import duties on household items imported from abroad, without any limitation on their total value.

This right may be exercised within one year from the date of return from working abroad.

The certificate does not apply to duties on the importation of a motor vehicle.

To exercise this right, a certificate issued by the Embassy confirming the period of continuous employment abroad is required.

The following documents are required for the issuance of a certificate confirming the period of continuous employment abroad:

• Valid passport of the Republic of Serbia
• Application for the issuance of the certificate (Царинска потврда_0.docx)
• Qatari ID
• Certificate issued by the employer confirming the duration of employment, or other relevant proof of employment abroad
