Entry to Qatar, November 1, 2022

Citizens of the Republic of Serbia, with or without a residence permit in Qatar, can travel to Qatar from November 1 without the obligation to undergo a PCR or antigen test, before or after arrival. A permit is required to enter the country, which is obtained through the Haja application, which acts as a visa. The need to register via the website www.ehteraz.gov.qa has also been abolished. There is no quarantine for vaccinated and unvaccinated citizens of the Republic of Serbia (residents and non-residents), but this obligation exists only for those who have been tested positive for covid 19. The Ehteraz application is installed and activated only in case of the need to visit health institutions, in which it is necessary to carry masks. A PCR test is not required for transit through Hamad Airport in Doha, unless the destination country of travel requires such a test. It is recommended, especially before the planned trip, to check the current information on the conditions of entry through the website of the Ministry of Health of Qatar www.moph.gov.qa, due to frequent changes.
Private health insurance is recommended for all travelers entering the country, and the Qatar Ministry of Health also recommends a covid-19 vaccination before traveling to Qatar.

Entry regime during the World Cup in football
Starting from November 1, 2022 until December 23, 2022, it will be possible to enter Qatar only with the "Haja" application, which will have the function of a visa and a permit to enter stadiums. Holders of the "Haya" application will be able to stay in Qatar until January 23, 2023. It will also be possible to use public transport for free with this application.
Registration via the website www.ehteraz.gov.qa is not required, and the Ehteraz application needs to be installed and activated only when visiting health institutions. There is an obligation to wear masks in healthcare institutions.
Issuance of regular tourist and other visas will resume on December 23, 2022. The obligation to test for the corona virus (antigen or PCR test) before or after arrival in Qatar has been abolished.
During the World Cup, the Embassy's on-call mobile phones will be +97433686114, as well as the e-mail addresses embsrbqat@gmail.com and srb.emb.qatar@mfa.rs, and the Embassy will also have an outpost consular department-information point in the DECC convention center. Since it is only an information desk, consular services will not be provided to citizens of Serbia in this center, but they will be provided regularly in the premises of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia, which is located 5 km from the center.
It is necessary to respect the Qatari laws on public order and peace and it is recommended to take into account the traditional and cultural values of the State of Qatar, and to wear clothes that cover the knees and shoulders. Alcohol consumption is allowed only in hotels or designated places. Consumption of alcohol in public areas, parks and streets is strictly prohibited.
Private health insurance is recommended, but the most urgent medical assistance will be available in the public hospitals of the "Hamad" system, at no extra cost. Due to the large number of visitors and the burden on the healthcare system, it is in the interest of all visitors to have international travel health insurance.
Land entry from the direction of Saudi Arabia is not recommended, due to special permits through the Haya application, a non-refundable deposit of 5 thousand riyals and other procedures. Only vehicles with Qatari license plates will be able to enter Qatar freely, while travelers coming to Qatar for one day, as well as buses, will have to park in special places at the border, from where bus and taxi transportation to Doha will be organized. All passengers who entered Qatar before November 1 and have a Haya card will be able to re-register their visa in the police as a "fan visa".

Starting from December 2, travelers will be able to obtain travel permits through the Haja application even if they do not have pre-purchased tickets for matches.
The passport must be valid at least until March 22, 2023,
All details regarding the World Cup and changes to travel conditions should be followed on the website www.qatar2022.qa
